Once again thanks to another article on Dailymail, I found out that Titlis has Europe’s highest suspension bridge called the Titlis Cliff Walk. One beautiful winter day, we made our way to Engelberg and took the cable car up.
Our first stop was to go snow tubing and sleighing using cute sleigh bob bikes.
Snow tubing was so much fun! It can be quite dangerous so one has to be careful.
We then took the world’s first rotating gondola all the way up the mountain station which was 3020m above sea-level. At the top, we checked out the Glacier Cave.
Next stop was the famous Titlis Cliff Walk – the reason we were there. Luck was not on our side. It was so incredibly foggy we could see none of the mountains all around us.
We then went on the ice flyer that takes you “flying” over the glacier. Unfortunately as visibility was so poor, it felt like we were just “flying” in the clouds. We couldn’t see anything. I cannot stress enough what an important role weather plays when visiting mountains. We paid so much to get there and in the end, we didn’t see a single thing/view of the fantastic Swiss Alps all around us.
